About Kelly Burnett

I am an LDS member and a BACP registered FULLY QUALIFIED COUNSELLOR in West Yorkshire (Wakefield/Leeds area) with experience of working with male and female clients- adults and teens. If you are thinking of having counselling I offer a telephone consultation which allows you to discuss your needs and see if therapy would be helpful to you.

As well as working in private practice, I also have worked with clients in a high school setting as well as working within various charities. I have experience of long and short-term therapy work in a number of areas including but not limited to:

  • Anger

  • Domestic Abuse

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Self-Harm

  • Bereavement

  • Loss

  • Health Issues/Diagnosis

  • Relationship issues

  • Low self esteem

  • Family issues

  • Shame

  • Menopause

  • Guilt

  • Loneliness

  • Stress

  • Work related issues

  • PTSD

  • Faith Crisis

My therapeutic practice is based around a Person Centred and integrative approach which means I can tailor therapy to meet the needs you have. I provide an empathic, confidential and non-judgemental environment which allows you to have the time and space you need to understand your feelings and begin to heal that part of you that needs fixing. Choosing a therapist of the same faith allows you to benefit from the healing that comes from counselling whilst also applying gospel principles and the Atonement, furthermore, it also means that your therapist can truely stand in your shoes and see how life looks and feels for you.
